Traditional vs.Progressive Education

 Traditional education was the commonly used all over the country in all educational institutions wherein the students are practicing rote learning.This kind of learning focuses on memorization of facts,the teacher does not correlate the lesson in everyday life and natural experiences.

     Progressive education focuses on the child.The teacher acts only as facilitator of learning and they provide activities for the students to solve and apply their knowledge.They learn by doing not by lectures.Students  discover the  concept of the lesson and not the teacher who teaching what the lesson is all about.
    What education system are now existing in the Philippines?Traditional or Progressive?
